TWITTER BAN: Amnesty International shamed as Nigerians say “we don’t ask you to protest on our behalf”, want group banned

By KEMI KASUMU
For raising petition and gathering signatures for same against President Muhammadu Buhari over the ban on Twitter operations in Nigeria, Amnesty International has been put to shame by Nigerians, who say they did not sent it message to protest on their behalf.

The DEFENDER reports that Amnesty International Nigeria, in a sponsored post on Facebook social media network page, had protested against the ban ascribing its action to that taken by Nigerians, saying, “LIFT THE BAN: Let President Muhammadu Buhari know that Nigerian voices matter”.
Explaining its reason for the protest, the Nigeria’s most identified enemy said:
“On 4 June, the Nigerian authorities blocked access to Twitter and set plans to force social media platforms to register in Nigeria and comply with local regulations before they are licensed to operate. These actions are clear violations of the right to freedom of expression, access to information, and freedom of the press. Act now to stop it!”
But to the condemnation of the Amnesty International, Nigerians said “we send you no such message”.
They visited the civil society’s page in their few thousands and launched their ridicule of it as follows:
A Nigerian:
How many of the petitions signed in the past against Buhari govt have worked? It will continue to fail because our govt has done what is right. What Nigeria has done lately with Twitter is to teach the world that right is not by America, your sponsor’s definition. Once you are into evil and criminality, you lose all your rights.
Usman Muhammad Tukur :
You too, AIN will one day be chase out of this country. We no longer demand your service. Go!
Isaiah Osezele :
Amnesty International
Amnesty International Nigeria
1. IS TWITTER THE ONLY APP. IN THE WORLD?
2. WHY DID AMERICA BAN TIK-TOK & WECHAT & WHAT DID YOU DO ABOUT IT?
3. TELL JACK HE WILL AND MUST PAY TAX TO THE NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT & HE MUST HAVE AN OFFICE IN NIGERIA.
HE MAKES THE HIGHEST FROM AFRICA FROM NIGERIA.
4. TELL HIM THIS IS A NATION OF 200 MILLION PEOPLE & MAJORITY STAND WITH THE PRESIDENT.
5. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE ABOUT THE KILLINGS ORCHESTRATED BY NNAMDI KANU IN THE SOUTH EAST?
NOTHING? NOT SURPRISED.
6. HE WILL LOSE MORE IF HE CONTINUES TO WAIT.
NIGERIANS HAVE OVER 100 OTHERS APPS. & WONDER WHY TWITTER WHICH IS NOT EVEN AMONG TOP 10 MOST DOWNLOADED APPS IS NOW THE FUZZ HERE.
YOU ARE A BIASED INSTITUITION.
Another:
Why did you not protest in India, Gambia, Germany? So, Nigeria is headquarters of nonsensical civil society activism, eh? You lie. We own Nigeria and we have recovered our country from your hypocrisy.
Siyaka Momoh :
Amnesty idiot
Ganiyu Daniel Tairu :
Shut up there
…… investigate before posting rubbish
Adamu Abbassmusa :
Wait till Nigeria government ban you then you would understand what language the president is speaking for.
Nkechinyere Ugo :
Arm-Next-Thief International only have voice in Africa’s issues, particularly that of Nigeria 🇳🇬.
There’s no provision in the Nigerian Constitution which says that Twitter must operate here.
Fake News, cyber bullying and terrorism are not part of Freedom of Speech.
Go F**k yourselves!
Amaraobi Obi-Ukegbu :
Thank God it’s my signature. Come and take it naw. Mcheeeeeeeeeeeeew
Casmir Uche :
We are enjoying freedom of speech but what they are asking for is freedom to abuse and insult people with the social media.
Animasahun Taiwo Hameed :
Must you protest everything? Our sovereignty and unity matter most.
Serleesou Younous :
Why was it not a violation of freedom of expression when President Trump’s tweets was blocked and himself suspended in the wake of the Capitol Hill resurrection.
And upon all the venom spitted by IPOB Kanu in instigating attack on the country’s security formations and INEC offices does not amount to anything wrong by sabotaging constituted authority? Remember Nigeria is a sovereign nation with laws that guaranteed freedom but if such freedom is tantamount to it’s national security that could not be deluded from the pit of hell.
Shehu Misa :
Hypocrisy is when you supported the banned of BREKETE FAMILY, a human rights Radio and TV station, which many poor people in Nigeria benefited more, and condemning the banned of TWITTER which only Jack Dossey benefited more. We supported the banned 100%.
Aminu Abubakar Karfi :
I think this nonsense amnesty or harm nasty should also be banned if Nigeria want developed.
Ogunbekun Ibrahim :
You don change your former Sowore beret man picture?. You are exposed already. Una go well las las.

Aminu Adamu Abdullahi reposted a story that describes the ailment of those who want Nigeria to to be under the feet of imperialist colonialism unable to ever think straight and, who are the few Nigerians that take grants call it foreign aids in terms of civil society to destroy their own country through senseless protest hiding under the law that protests protesters saying protest is human right. Unfortunately, this category of people do not want to be punished by law for failing in their duty to the society that provides them security and food they eat but are always quick to cry to high heavens about human rights they misapply or blindly claim to back their defence of criminality, terrorism and selected nepotism. Imagine what law in the world – either natural or human – would permit defence of criminality and terrorism. The one that those collect dollars from insincere members of international community to stage coup against the same democracy they sell around they world permits those evils but we align with China, Russia, North Korea to say no more. It is the reason #RevolutionNow, #EndSARS Movement, #IPOBism and #BokoHaramism as well as their media vehicle Twitter have failed and will continue to fail becae #WeStandWithOurGovernment. against them and say #OurNigeriaIsSupremeUnderOneGod.
I therefore serve my increasing fans with this narrative reposted by Aminu Adamu Abdullahi:
The Story of the Donkey and Tiger
The donkey told the tiger:
′′The grass is blue”.
The tiger replied:
′′No, the grass is green”.
The discussion became heated up, and the two decided to submit the issue to arbitration, and to do so they approached the lion, King of the Jungle.
Before reaching the clearing in the forest where the lion was sitting on his throne, the donkey started screaming:
′′Your Highness, is it true that grass is blue?”.
The lion replied:
“True, the grass is blue”.
The donkey rushed forward and continued:
′′The tiger disagrees with me and contradicts me and annoys me please punish him”.
The king then declared:
′′The tiger will be punished with 5 years of silence”.
The donkey jumped for joy and went on his way, content and repeating:
′′The grass is blue”…
The tiger accepted his punishment, but he asked the lion:
′′Your Majesty, why have you punished me, after all, the grass is green?”
The lion replied:
′′In fact, the grass is green”.
The tiger asked:
′′So why do you punish me?”
The lion replied:
′′That has nothing to do with the question of whether the grass is blue or green. The punishment is because it is not possible for a brave, intelligent creature like you to waste time arguing with a donkey, and on top of that to come and bother me with that question”.
The worst waste of time is arguing with the fool and fanatic who doesn’t care about truth or reality, but only the victory of their beliefs and illusions. Never waste time on discussions that make no sense… There are people who for all the evidence presented to them, do not have the ability to understand, and others who are blinded by ego, hatred and resentment, and the only thing that they want is to be right even if they aren’t. When ignorance screams, intelligence shuts up. Your peace and tranquility are worth more.
From Aliyu Samba
The rise and fall of the lion
(Dedicated to world’s proud super powers)

No matter how long it lives, the greatest Lion will eventually die miserably. That’s the world. They may die young from injuries sustained in defending their pride.
They may die old, enfeebled by age. At their peak, they rule. They chase other animals. They catch, devour and gulp them and leave their crumbs for hyenas. But age comes fast.
The old lion can’t hunt, can’t kill. And can’t defend itself. It roams and roars, until it runs out of luck. It will be cornered by hyenas, nibbled at and eaten alive by them. They won’t even let it die before they dismember it.
Life is short. Power is ephemeral. I have seen it in lions. I have seen it in old men. Everyone who lives long enough will become very vulnerable at some point.
Be humble. Help the sick, the weak and the vulnerable and most importantly DO NOT FORGET THAT WE WILL LEAVE THE STAGE ONE DAY.
Live consciously.
