Transnistrian leader debunks reports of full combat alert in armed forces

Armed Forces of Transnistria and the Operational Group of Russian Forces (OGRF) continue their service as usual, President of Transnistria Vadim Krasnoselsky said in his Telegram channel Sunday, debunking reports of bringing these forces to the highest alert.

“In regards to the new reports citing the Ukrainian General Staff about the alleged bringing Transnistrian Armed Forces to full combat alert, I inform the public: no mobilization is taking place in Transnistria. Law enforcement agencies were brought to reinforced service mode. Armed forces of the Transnistrian Moldavian Republic and the OGRF continue their service as usual. There have been no changes,” Krasnoselsky said.

According to the President, following a series of terror attacks, the Ministry of the Interior and a number of other law enforcement agencies were brought to a special mode of operation. Security of the most important objects was reinforced, checkpoints were deployed around cities. The special regime is in effect until May 10 and could be prolonged, Krasnoselsky said.
