Tiv group in Lagos meets SGF George Akume, lauds his appointment by Tinubu

The President of Mdzough U Tiv, Lagos (Tiv Community in Lagos), Hon. Stephen Terfa Uzer, and the Tiv traditional council members met with the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, in Lagos, at the Presidential Wing of the Murtala Mohamed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos, on Sunday February 18, 2024.

Uzer, who welcomed the SGF to the Centre of Excellence, commended the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on appointment of Akume and others of Tiv extractions including Barrister Akuta of Shippers Council, whom he said was doing well.

Speaking further, the Tiv Lagos President informed the SGF that the ethnic nationality group’s political leader in Lagos was Professor Simon Akaayar, giving the former Benue State Governor the confidence to “always feel free to send him to us in Lagos anytime.”

Responding, Dr. George Akume promised to come back to Lagos to see the members of Mdzough U TIV Lagos, even as the Tiv Lagos President Stephen Terfa Uzer also informed the SGF of their plan to pay him a solidarity visit in Abuja.
