Speaking during an interview with Vanguard on Sunday, Abiola said that Tinubu is the only President that has appointed any member of his family to work in the presidency.

He revealed that Tinubu appointed him and his younger sister to work in his administration. Abiola said this while answering question on whether Tinubu has rendered any help to the Abiola family.

Speaking further, Abiola also added that Tinubu was the first governor to immortalize his mother by naming streets and housing estates in Lagos after her, and that he also made efforts to bring her killers to justice.

He said, “He is helping the family as much as he can. You know the kind of person he is, just like my father, he is generous to a fault with so many people depending on him.

“As a matter of fact, he is the only Nigerian President who has appointed any member of my family to work in the presidency. He appointed both me and a younger sister.”

He added, “Aside from that, my siblings and I have fond memories of how he was the first governor to immortalize my mom, how he named streets and housing estates after her, and how the Lagos State under his leadership tried to bring her killers to book.”

He also spoke about the recent invasion of the Oyo State Secretariat by some alleged Yoruba Nation agitators, saying that most of them are not idealogists and do not know what it means to have a vision, talk less of turning a region as dynamic as South-West into a fruitful nation.

He said that God has made Nigeria one country so that it can use its diversity to prosper and uplift other countries in Africa.
