The many faces of the rumour: Buhari’s appointments of trusted aides now justified: A Facebook Discourse
It is now clear to us why they were agitating against BUHARI when he appointed the people he trusts to positions as service chiefs, SGF and Chief of Staff. I have never stopped to mention some APC leaders as being part of the problem of market price hikes that make even the masses complain about hunger. Know well that they were part of the oil pump price hike of then, indiscriminate food prices increase of now and this rumour of the moment is part of their act. Yet other faces of the rumour are in national Assembly, PDP and the corrupt politicians who want the anti-corruption fight to halt.
“When President Buhari returns by February 6, Insha Allah, people around him should shield him the more and let anybody who wants to complain do so. We have read many reports of how people around the President were shielding him. They should shield him the more and allow only those who have contribution to solving our problems access to him.”
If the rumour mongers are not sure of what they think they have done to kill Buhari, they would not be so sure and resilient about their lingering moment of the rumour mongering.
Fellow Nigerians, only Allah has the rope of my soul in the hand. Not anybody. Let me ask: Why is an APC national leader so open in his anti-government, anti-party speeches and attitudes? Who can remember how an APC leader openly criticised economic policies of Buhari saying they are aquake? Who remembers The Gambia, which some sections of the press tried to make look like a particular APC leader was the one that made the achievements that Buhari led other ECOWAS leaders to make in the peaceful installation of President Adama Barrow against the plots of Yahya Jammeh, one of his best friends?
The story about Osinbajo under pressure to resign, where is it coming from? The CAN’s charges at Osinbajo to speak up, where is it coming from? The CAN acting like an opposition party, why? The theory of Osinbajo being schemed for Presidency with Saraki as Vice President in the “event Buhari is incapacitated”, who are the people propounding that theory? Why?
I am of the thought that sponsors of these rumours have set a time bomb for President Buhari only waiting for their plan to harsh. But they have failed woefully to the glory of Almighty Allah.
Haba! Politicians are evil but can we say because they are evil not make our own efforts to save Nigeria to save our own heads? No matter how evil they may be, Shaytan is the biggest of all evils. With God all wars are won, Insha Allah.
“Up to hand shakes, anybody to shake hands with him must be properly screened. Everywhere around Mr. President must undergo a security sweep including the air space around him and around his Vice, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo. Both are sincere leaders and must be well protected. Fighting corruption to fix Nigeria will come with many frustrations, confrontations and sponsored agitations and sentiments. All service chiefs should be placed on high alert. Whoever transgresses his limit should be dealt with and any headstrong should be treated as treason. That is the way to go from now.”
In the final analysis, can we now imagine what these people would have been capable of doing if President Buhari had not appointed his own trusted people into the defence and government?
My advice:
When President Buhari returns by February 6, Insha Allah, people around him should shield him the more and let anybody who wants to complain do so. We have read many reports of how people around the President were shielding him. They should shield him the more and allow only those who have contribution to solving our problems access to him.
