Tambuwal visits Tureta, sympathises with victims of bandit attacks, flood

Former Governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, visited Tureta, in Tureta Local Government Area the state, following a recent bandit attacks and flood in the area.

The Mutawallen Sokoto, in a post via his handke, said he paid a visit to the local council to commiserate with the people on the recent devastating banditry attacks and flooding that ravaged the area.

“I extended my condolences to the families of the victims who lost their lives in the brutal attacks, which also led to kidnappings and massive livestock theft.

“I sympathized with those affected by the flood, which destroyed hundreds of homes and properties, leaving many homeless.

“I appealed to the people to continue supporting and cooperating with the authorities and security agencies to restore peace and normalcy in the area. I emphasized the need for collective efforts to combat the security challenges facing the region.

“I assured the flood victims that my office, in collaboration with the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), would provide relief materials after assessing the damages to alleviate the suffering of the affected people and support their recovery efforts.

“I pray to Allah SWT to grant the families who lost loved ones the fortitude to bear the loss and to those who lost their valuables the strength to accept it as the will of Allah. -AWT”
