Sultan of Sokoto for Criterion event, as group addresses assault against Muslim women at Ibadan conference

The Sultan of Sokoto and President-General, Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, will lead other Muslim leaders to the opening ceremony of an international conference organised by The Criterion, an Association of Muslim Women in Business and the Professions, holding in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on Saturday 20 November, 2021.

The DEFENDER reports that the week-long Second International and 11th Biennial Conference of the women organisation, which started on Thursday 18 and ending Wednesday 24 November, 2021, is aimed at addressing the challenges bedeviling women in the society and proffering possible solutions.

Tagged ‘Oluyole 2021′, the Criterion’s international conference will also tackle assault and abuse against Muslim women with a look at their coping with financial stress.

While the conference will hold at Imam Maliki College, Jegede Olunloyo, Ibadan, the opening ceremony the Sultan will attend is slated for Saturday, 20 November, 2021 at the University of Ibadan Central Mosque Event Hall.
