Refocus on economy, not PMB’s health – APC UK tells Nigerians
The Chairman of APC-UK, Dr. Philip Idaewor, has advised Nigerians to refocus their attention on the economic recovery efforts of the government, instead of engaging in speculation and evil wishes about President Muhammadu Buhari’s health.
In an interview with a Nigeria-based daily in London, Dr. Idaewor said the most pressing challenge facing Nigerians is how to get the economy working for the common good.
He criticised those circulating false information on the president’s health, describing such as “unethical, grossly disrespectful and inhumane.”
According to him, those who destroyed Nigeria’s economic and moral core through pandemic corruption and made the Naira a currency of low worth are the country’s common enemies and are to be “pilloried not our President.”
The Chairman said President Buhari should be commended for his exemplary respect for the constitution by voluntarily transferring power to the vice-president, stressing that the action, “though constitutionally mandatory, was unknown in Nigeria’s political leadership experience.”
