Real reason Netanyau did not attend Egypt’s peace summit

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was supposed to attend the peace summit in Sharm El-Sheikh in Egypt, but he ended up staying home.
While his office said it was because of the “Jewish holiday,” the real story is way more intense! So, what really happened?
At the time President Trump was about to depart Israel for Egypt, he invited Netanyahu to join him in Egypt for the ceasefire agreements signing.
Intel reached President Erdoğan of Turkiye, that Netanyahu would join other world leaders in signing the peace agreement in Egypt.
This did not go down well with Erdogan. While he was airborne, Erdogan placed a call to President Abdulfatah Sisi of Egypt and President Trump to register his displeasure.
President Erdogan was one of the key figures in the peace-signing summit. He threatened to boycott the summit and turn his plane back to Turkiye if Netanyahu was there.
This message from Erdogan was swiftly communicated to Netanyahu. Netanyahu’s plane was reportedly already in the air when the decision was made!
Western leaders, Macron of France, Starmer of the UK, Giorgia Meloni of Italy and others were stiffly opposed to Netanyahu’s presence in Egypt.
The leaders did not want to be seen shaking hands with Netanyahu while he faces ICC arrest warrants for war crimes.
There was also domestic pressure in Egypt against Netanyahu’s presence at the Peace Summit in Sharm El-Sheikh. All these made it impossible for Netanyahu’s attendance.
Sometimes, what happens behind the scenes is much more dramatic than the real scenes! International politics is full of intrigues and intricacies.
On a final note, we keep saying it that H*amas has systematically thrown Israel back, diplomatically, for many decades. Israel has become a pariah state, globally.
