RAMADAN PACKAGE: 100,000 vulnerable Zamfara households benefit from Federal lawmaker’s gesture

The Federal lawmaker representing Gusau/Tsafe Federal Constituency, Hon. Kabiru Amadu Mai Palace, has flagged off the distribution of Ramadan Package to 100,000 households in his constituency and Zamfara State in general.
Speaking during the flag-off, distribution of the assorted food items, he said, was a decision he made to increase the number of beneficiaries this year because of the growing number of people in need.
He said the distribution was designed to ensure that several vulnerable households are covered particularly in Gusau and Tsafe local governments.
The lawmaker further said all PDP’s executives in the 147 political wards in the state would benefit as well as state party executives, Commissioners and all relevant stakeholders in the party and the general public irrespective of political parties.
Hon. Mai Palace said so far over 5,000 bags of rice and several cartons of spaghettis, macaroni and indomine noodles, vegetable oil are going to be distributed.
He called on PDP supporters to always be law abiding and support programmes and policies of the government that are aimed at alleviating the suffering of the masses.
Also speaking during the flag-off of the Ramadan Package distribution, the PDP state Chairman, Dr Jamilu Jibo Magayaki, thanked the lawmaker, while urging other political office holders and wealthy individuals in the society to emulate him by assisting the needy, particularly during this coming month of Ramadan.
He called on the people to emulate the lawmaker’s kind gesture and appealled to PDP supporters to be resolute in their duties and respective assignments.
Several people spoke in commendation of the lawmaker’s efforts during the event.
