The Methodist Church, Iju, Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State, will hold its 50th establishment anniversary in the ancient town Saturday 15th October, 2022.
As part of the event to mark the anniversary, the church will honour some committed members with chieftaincy titles among which is the ‘Majekobaje Obirin’ that will be conferred on Mrs Rachael Jaiyeola, wife of a popular businessman in the town of old.
In the meantime, the family in a statement by Mayowa Jayeola, son of the beneficiary, has sent a congratulatory message and word of appreciation to the priesthood of the church for considering the matriarch of Jayeola family fit for the honour in the house of God.
“The family of Jayeola Ezekiel Olorunsola wishes to say a big congratulations and a happy 50th anniversary to the Methodist Church, Iju and the entire church members.
“We use this opportunity to express our gratitude to the Priesthood for the conferment of the title MAJEKOBAJE OBIRIN on our Mother, Chief Mrs Racheal J Jayeola after considering her worthy of the honourable position.
“May God continue to work in mysterious ways, use His mighty works to draw souls to the kingdom of God and always uplift our leaders in grace, wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Congratulations!!” The statement said.
