The gathering, marked by a sense of solidarity, comes in response to the reinstatement of Emir Sanusi II by Governor of Kano State Abba Kabir Yusuf, a move that has stirred considerable political and social tension within the state with the state authorities unmoved.

Amidst the legal and political complexities surrounding the emirship, hundreds of supporters had united to express their allegiance to Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II holding aloft banners and placards adorned with his likeness, advocating for the preservation of his esteemed leadership.

Despite the charged atmosphere outside the palace, security personnel have maintained order, ensuring that the demonstration proceeds peacefully without any potential escalation of conflicts.

This demonstration unfolds against a backdrop of conflicting reports and legal maneuvers concerning the emirship.

The Kano State Police Command has affirmed its commitment to upholding a Federal High Court order that restrains the state government from reinstating Sanusi, a directive aimed at maintaining the status quo pending further legal deliberations.
