Presidents of Egypt, Gambia, Ghana in goodwill calls to President Buhari
The President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, in a telephone conversation, on Tuesday, congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari for successful medical vacation and wished him good health.
Mr Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President, made this known in a statement in Abuja.
He said the Egyptian leader also congratulated the Nigerian President on the strides his country had made in the campaign against Boko Haram and other security challenges.
Adesina said President el-Sisi expressed the preparedness of his country to assist in Nigeria’s quest to overcome her security concerns.
He said the Egyptian leader also expressed the hope that the two countries would continue to partner in other areas of mutual interest.
He said President Adama Barrow of The Gambia had also in a goodwill phone call President Buhari to thank Nigeria for her leading role in his emergence as President of his country, and wished the Nigerian leader well.
Adeshina said that President Nana Akuffo-Addo of Ghana also called President Buhari to wish him good health and greater bilateral cooperation between the West African countries.
The DEFENDER reports that King of Morocco Mohammed VI had in similar telephone conversation with President Buhari congratulated him on his safe return after his vacation in London.
