PHOTOS: Sheikh Dan Fodio Week peaks as Dr Zakir Naik arrives Sokoto, visits Sultan

Prominent international Islamic scholar, Dr. Zakir Naik, has arrived in Sokoto ahead grand finale of the 10th Sheikh Usman Dan Fodio Week.1445/2023 where he is billed to be chief guest lecturer on Thursday November 2.
Accompanied by his son, Dr. Naik’s flight touched ground at the Sultan Abubakar International Airport, Sokoto, afternoon of Monday after which he was received by Deputy Secretary General of the World Zakat and Waqf Forum, Engr Muhammad Lawal Maidoki.
The DEFENDER reports that Maidoki, who is also Executive Chairman Sokoto State Zakat and Endowment Commission and Chairman of the Week’s Planning Committee, later led the convoy of the global personality to the Palace of Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Mohammed Sa’ad Abubakar, who received him and his entourage in audience.
