PHOTO NEWS: Deji in attendance as FG unveils FUTA Teaching Hospital in Akure
The Federal Government on Thursday October 2 3, 2025 officially unveiled the Federal University of Technology, Akure Teaching Hospital (FUTATH), following the formal handover of the state-owned University of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital, Akure Complex, to the Federal Government.
The handover and unveiling ceremony was attended by the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, the Ondo State Deputy Governor, Hon. Olayide Adelami, the Deji and Paramount Ruler of Akure Kingdom, Oba (Dr) Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, and the Ondo State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Banji Ajaka.
Others in attendance were the Chairman, Akure-FUTA Teaching Hospital Committee, Dr. Olufemi Oyinsan, top government functionaries, traditional rulers, Chiefs, Olus, FUTA Community, staff of the hospital as well as eminent indigenes of Akure community.
