In the meantime, the AMC 1991 Set is still in search for its other members yet to be found for the ongoing reunion.
Against the saying that 20 children cannot play together for 20 years, the proverbial jinx has been as 35 old boys and girls of Akure Muslim College 1991 Set, after having dispassed and lost contacts for 33 years, have found and regrouped themselves on an AMC Old Students Association 1991 Set.
They have since been talking and playing together never to dispass again until God their respective times are up on earth.
Seven of these 35 have met again in what was described as first reunion meeting – after 33 years – held on Saturday October 12, 2024 in the Palace of Alaaye of Aaye Land, Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo State and hosted by Folasegbe Ojo (school name) now Olori Fola Abimbola Adeleye, a member of the 1991 Set.
Among the 35 members, now playing together again and who came from Oyo and Ondo states for the first meeting after finishing secondary school in September 1991, were Sheikh Dr. AbdulHakeem Yayi Akorede, the Chief Imam of Akure Kingdom, Folasegbe Ojo now Olori Fola Abimbola Adeleye, Dupe Arifalo now Mrs Akinola Kemi Modupe, Taiwo Owoeye a.k.a. Yeye Oge Okeiya, Oladele Nurudeen Adekoya, Tajudeen Taiwo Usman and Sarafa Olanrewaju.
The DEFENDER reports that among 28 other AMC 1991 Set members, whose representations were covered by the seven mates physically present, included but not limited to Prince Bashir Olorunkemi Adefaka, who was Social Prefect and President AMC Press Club 1991 Set, Registered Nurse Khadijat Ibrahim (school name), Social Prefect Girl and Vice President AMC Press Club 1991 Set, Sheridan Afolabi (school name), Anike Owolabi (school name), Aolat Sulaiman (school name), Morufu Adekunle Isa, Sherifat Balogun (school name), Alhaji Olanipekun Azeez (Jaguar), Alhaja Falilat Azeez, Taiwo Akinbulumo (school name), Kehinde Akinbulumo, Lukman Ajadi Isa, Lamidi Ajasa Hammed Ayilara, Saka Jimoh, Rasheed Jimoh, Taibat Abisoye (school name), Rashidat Bakare (school name), Senior Prefect Girl 1991 Set, Titilayo Sunday (school name), Titilayo Anthony (school name), Memunat Saka (school name), Wosilat Lawal (school name), Sikiru Amuda and more.
With this reunion, the boys and girls have asked God to accept their commitment to playing together till their respective ends in life after spending longer and fulfilled time on earth.
