PDP says Buhari has no single project in 3 years

*Facts of our achievements are undeniable – Presidency

*They are agitated by Buhari’s rising global profile – Igbokwe

*Says “PDP can’t withstand 4 more years under PMB, they will all die

…as looted money is no longer available”

The embattled Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said that President Muhammadu Buhari should to end his blame game against past leaders as cover for what it calls his poor performance, economic hardship and escalated insecurity his administration has caused Nigerians despite ample resources at its disposal.

In a seeming confirmation of a submission by a respondent who told The DEFENDER in a Friday report that Reno Omokri, Governor Ayodele Fayose and other PDP members criticising Buhari without facts are working for former President Goodluck Jonathan to pour huge misrepresentations about the Buhari’s achievements on internet to confuse the vulnerable masses, the PDP in a statement said exactly that the Buhari’s government has no single project he either initiated or implemented in its three years in office.

In the statement signed by Kola Ologbondiyan, the national publicity secretary, PDP alleged that “Buhari does not have a single development project initiated and implemented by his administration in any part of the country in the last three years.”

The party said the president had also failed to fulfill the least of his 2015 campaign promises, which were used to deceive Nigerians into voting him into office.

“Now that he has failed, one wonders what other false promises the Buhari-led All Progressives Congress (APC) will anchor its 2019 campaign and elections on.

“It is tragic that instead of being remorseful, the Buhari Presidency finds it convenient to engage in endless blame game, shameful attempts to appropriate PDP projects and programmes, as well as dishing out of false performance indices ahead of its third anniversary on May 29.

“Worst still, President Buhari finds solace in commissioning projects executed by other leaders, like his humiliating commissioning of a regular bus station constructed by the Lagos State government and a borehole in Jigawa State, which show crass failure of governance,” the opposition party stated.

PDP described as embarrassing Buhari’s demarketing of Nigeria whenever he travels out.

“Nigerians can recall President Buhari’s poor showing at the 2018 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in London, where his only achievement was to further demarket our nation by declaring our youths as lazy and lovers of freebies,” it added.

Advising Buhari and his handlers to know that Nigerians were tired of their ineptitude and blame game, PDP said: “The beauty of democracy is that it affords the citizens the inalienable right to remove any government that does not effectively govern, and this is the inevitable end of the APC, come 2019.”

Facts of our achievements are undeniable – Presidency

But in reply to similar “unsubstantiated” allegation of lack of performance leveled against the President from the opposition camp, the Presidency took a time out in a Thursday statement to educate and guide the critics who it described as mischievously misrepresenting the progress of the ongoing administration in the country despite the fact, according to it, that they see the facts of Buhari’s performances around them but that they are only pretending no to see because they want to hear only what is negative about the administration.

In the statement issued by the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, the Presidency says the narrative about the national economy is not “doom and gloom all the way” as some people in the country have painted.

Supporting its position as an office unsubscribed to claiming achievements in the abstract, the Muhammadu Buhari-led Administration listed some of its achievements with verifiable facts details of which were provided in reports on Friday including as published by The DEFENDER.

They are agitated by Buhari’s rising global profile – Igbokwe

In his article also published on Friday in The DEFENDER, fiery critic and Director General, Budget Office, Mr. Joe Igbokwe, took the PDP and its likes to the memory line reminding them how they ruined Nigeria economically and plunged the country into economic recession and complicated insecurity in their 16 years on the grip of the nation and then told Nigerians that the pains of the former ruling party people is because President Muhammadu Buhari has done in three years what they failed to achieve in 16 years.

Igbokwe added that the PDP elements and their collaborators are also agitated because in their very eyes President has emerged the anti-corruption champion in Africa.

His words: “Now, their biggest pains is that PMB is doing what they failed to do in 16 years. PMB is building massive infrastructure across Nigeria. PMB has been growing our internal revenue which is now overtaking crude oil revenue, the first in 45 years. PMB has brought about unprecedented revolution in Agriculture in Nigeria and has particularly reduced Rice importation by 60% and employing millions. PMB has added serious values to Power generation (7000+ MW), the highest so far. PMB has given corruption a bloody nose and no Nigerian head of state living or dead has matched his record. PMB has grown the Nigerian Stock Exchange volume of business to 15.75 trillion naira, the highest so far.

“In their own very eyes PMB is now the Anti Corruption Champion in Africa. This is the principal reason the idiots want him out. They cannot withstand another four years. They may all die. Cheap money is no longer flowing. Looted money is no longer available.”
