A social critic, Jadda Mo, has in the meantime criticised the idea of bringing in United States of America to free the from terrorist saying it never happened that any country was ever helped by America against such insurgency group.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has sharply criticized President Bola Tinubu’s administration for its handling of public communication regarding the recent U.S. military strikes against terrorists in northwest Nigeria.

In a statement on Friday, the opposition party said Nigerians first learned about the reported American operation through verified social media accounts of former US President Donald Trump and other US officials—long before any official word from the Nigerian government.
An earlier report has it that on Christmas Day, December 25, 2025, Trump announced that the United States carried out “numerous precise strikes” against ISIS-linked fighters in parts of Nigeria.
According to Trump, the militants had been “viciously killing, primarily innocent Christians, at levels not seen for many years, and even centuries.”
He added that he had previously warned the groups to stop the killings or face consequences.
The Nigerian government later confirmed through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that strikes had taken place in northern Nigeria.
However, details about the nature of the operation and the country’s involvement were scarce, prompting concerns about transparency.
PDP National Publicity Secretary Comrade Ini Ememobong expressed deep concern over what the party described as an “inverted communication approach,” warning that foreign powers breaking news of security operations in Nigeria before the government undermines both public trust and national security.
“The government should not be in a position of merely reacting to foreign announcements on security operations within its territory,” the PDP said. “It ought to lead in informing the public and sensitizing citizens on such critical matters.”
The party also called on the Tinubu administration to ensure that any defense agreements with the United States prioritize joint operations.
According to the PDP, this would allow Nigerian security forces to gain valuable experience and knowledge, reducing dependence on externally led “precision attacks” and strengthening Nigeria’s long-term capacity to fight terrorism.
Jadda Mo
A social critic, Jadda Mo, has in the meantime criticised the idea of bringing in United States of America to free the from terrorist saying it never happened that any country was ever helped by America against such insurgency group.
He said this via a post titled, “DEATH KNELL FROM THE US”, on his Facebook timeline on Friday December 26, 2025.
According to him, “People can say what they want, but the fact remains that the United States has never saved any country from terrorists. It either colludes with terrorists to destroy a country and effect regime change, or unleash depraved fighters from its reservoir of trained mercenaries (terrorists) to destabilise selected countries.
“It doesn’t matter what name is concocted for the terrorists – Alqaeda, Al Nusra, ISWAP, ISIS, BOKO HARAM, or whatever – it is the same reservoir of cutthroats mixing with domestic misfits to unleash mayhem.
“Senior US government officials have consistently confirmed this, including Hillary Clinton and a Senator who was speaking on the function of USAID recently.
“Therefore, the bombs that rained down on Sokoto on Christmas day were not showers of blessings, they were a death knell.”
No proof any terrorist was killed
A guest on Trust TV Abuja, Friday night, Mr. Nurudeen Muhammad Aro, questioned the United States intention for carrying out air strikes on terrorists on the soil of Nigeria without showing to Nigerians a single terrorist, “just one”, that was killed in that air strikes.
“I have not seen a terrorist that was killed. Is somebody’s farm now a terrorist” hide lout? Aro said, adding that much as no Nigerian can be in denial of the fact that the country has issues of terrorism on its hand, “the only time I will accept that America has helped us against terrorist in that Sokoto strike is when they show us the terrorists they killed. After all, our local armed forces still showed us bodies of terrorists they killed.”
He told President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to stop letting anyone putting fear in him to accept for America to dictate how Nigeria take its decision.
“We need help but not this one that anybody will just come and bomb empty farm land and calls that bombing terrorists. No,” he said,.
On the way out, he said Tinubu should look out for former Nigerian leaders who have strong ties with international community to help attract support Internationally, “not this one that somebody will come and bomb somebody’s farmland and lie to his people that he has killed terrorists in Nigeria.”
Nurudeen Aro wondered why US military operations avoided the red zones like Sambisa but only went to bomb an empty farm land in Sokoto area without even cases of terrorism or banditry and still claimed to have killed terrorists without any single dead body of terrorist to show.
The DEFENDER reports that Jabo community where the acclaimed US airstrikes went and hit was a peaceful community in Tambuwal Local Government without any case terrorism over the years.
The Tambuwal Local Government Vice Chairman, Alhaji Muhammad, said it was unfortunate that the US came to bomb Jabo where there have been no cases terrorism.
Public affairs analysts who have discussed the US airstrikes said Donald Trump’s use of “striking to protect Christians in Nigeria” means that “the life of Muslims does not matter”, said Mallam Hamzah Idris who spoke on Trust TV News Hour Friday night.
According to Idris, for Trump to say he was fighting to protect Christians in Sokoto State especially Jabo community where Muslims are 99 percent does not tell good story of a United States president that claims to be protecting Christians against killing by terrorists in an area that is no where near the red line of insurgency.
He said there are many women and children who are in the hands of terrorists in the Sambisa forest but Trump’s airstrikers did not consider those helpless hostages as worthy of any protection freedom.
To him, what the US President, Donald Trump, has done was simply to divide Nigerians more along religion line against themselves.
From record
The DEFENDER gathered that the reason United States cannot be trusted in this is because Nigeria has sought military cooperation with it in the past to the extent of securing high precision military equipment including Tucano fighter jets from it which Washington DC, citing human rights, to deprive the country from using them on particularly in North Central.
