The Grand Chief Imam of Oyo Land, Sheikh Bilal Husayn Akinola Akeugberu, on Tuesday February 17, 2026 paid a courtesy visit to the Zonal Deputy Controller of Customs, DC Wale Moses Adewole, at the Oyo and Osun Zonal Directorate Office, Agodi Secretariat in Ibadan, Oyo State capital.
The visit, held at the zonal headquarters of the Nigeria Customs Service, was marked by warmth and professional camaraderie, underscoring a shared commitment to institutional collaboration and national development.
Speaking during the engagement, Sheikh Akeugberu commended DC Adewole and officers of the Service for their dedication to safeguarding the nation’s economic frontiers, facilitating legitimate trade, and boosting revenue generation. He stressed that integrity, transparency, and accountability remain fundamental pillars of effective public service.
The Islamic cleric noted that Islam upholds justice, fairness, and lawful conduct in all aspects of life. He assured the Customs leadership of the Muslim community’s continued support in promoting compliance with government regulations and strengthening ethical standards in society.
