“On behalf of myself, the Council of Chiefs and the entirely good people of Isolo Kingdom, here in Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State, I am sending this condolence message to say that we are with you and share your sorrow at this trying period…”

A word of sympathy has gone to former Minister of Communications, Major General Tajudeen Olanrewaju (Rtd), over the demise, on Tuesday September 9, 2025, of Mr. Muritala Atolagbe Animashaun, a town-planner and younger sibling of his father, late Alhaji Abdul Yakeen Olanrewaju Animashaun.

Making the condolences was the Osolo of Isolo Kingdom, Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State, Oba Dr. Edward Kolawole Adejoyegbe Adewole, Osalade II, who described demise of the 73-year-old from the over 10,000-member Lagos largest family as a rude shock.

Comrade Michael Ayomide, Special Assistant to the Osolo on Media and Administration, made this known in a statement dated Wednesday September 10, 2025, and circulated to the media.

According to the Osolo, “It was with rude shock that we received the sad news of the passing of your uncle, Mr. Muritala Atolagbe Ajadi Animashaun, whose demise occurred in a Lagos hospital on Tuesday.

“On behalf of myself, the Council of Chiefs and the entirely good people of Isolo Kingdom, here in Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State, I am sending this condolence message to say that we are with you and share your sorrow at this trying period, while also praying that God will repose his gentle soul in Al-Jannah Firdaus and grant you and his immediate family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”
