Osi, Akure North monarch congratulates Oba Edward Adewole, Osolo of Isolo

The Ireshi of Osi Kingdom in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State, Oba David Olajide, has congratulated the newly installed Osolo of Isolo, Akure South Local Government, Oba Edward Kolawole Adejoyegbe Adewole, Osalade II.

The Osi king, who is better described as an international, jet personality by his pace of performances benefiting his own people home and beyond, had attended the Thursday December 15, 2022 ceremony of the presentation of Instrument of Appointment and Staff of Office to Oba Adewole among several traditional rulers.

It will be recalled that Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu (SAN) had installed Oba Edward Adewole the Osolo of Isolo Kingdom, represented by Hon Dele Ologun, who was accompanied by top government functionaries to the historical royalty event that was also actively attended by the Chairman, Akure South Local Government Area, Hon Gbenga Olaniyi.

In a post on his verified Facebook timeline dated December 15, Oba Olajide, addressing the Osolo apparently acknowledging his travails leading to his long journey to the throne, said, “Do not let the behaviour of others destroy your peace,” he admonished.

Illustrated with a coronation photograph of the Osolo, Oba David Olajide’s post showed him saying, “Congratulations Kabiyesi…!! HRM Oba Edward Kolawole Adejoyegbe Adewole, the Osolo of Isolo, Akure South.”

The DEFENDER reports that also present at the event along traditional rulers including the Akapinsa of Ipinsa Kingdom, Oba Omoniyi Olufunmilayo, the Iralepo of Isinkan, Oba Oluwagbemiga Olofin-Adimula ably represented, Akure Kingdom, Sheikh AbdulHakeem Yayi Akorede, the Onirese of Irese, Ifedelore Local Government Area of Ondo State, Oba Ahmed Destiny Adekunle Saka, among other traditional rulers.

Other prominent persons in attendance included the Chief Imam of Akure, Sheikh AbdulHakeem Yayi Akorede, former Chairman, Ondo State Muslim Welfare Board, Alhaji Jimoh Ibrahim, representative of Isolo Muslim Community leadership, Alhaji Idris Ilemobola Yesufu, Chief Tefsir of Akure, Sheikh Moshood Raji Kewuyemi, the Seriki of Akure, Alhaji Abdulquadri Mustafa, and several community leaders, sons and daughters of Isolo town.

While presenting the Staff of Office and Instrument of Office to the Osolo, the governor reiterated his order that no king anywhere in Ondo State shall encroach on domain other than his own.

He congratulated the newly coronated Osolo of Isolo, Oba Edward Adewole and the resilient people of Isolo on the new history being made in their time with a promise that his administration will continue to do what is right for people of the state.
