A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Rotimi Makinde has said Senator Iyiola Omisore is a great asset to deliver victory at any poll.

Makinde who represented Ife Federal Constituency between 2011 and 2015, told newsmen in Ile-Ife, Osun State said he lost his seat because of Omisore’s factor, who was in Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He boasted that with the return of Omisore, especially as the National Secretary of All Progressives Congress (APC), he will clinch the ticket to the House of Representatives and win the election in 2023.

According to Makinde: “I moved around Ife Federal Constituency I listen to their concerns about unfulfilled expectation by the current representation and they crave for a better alternative. This is one of the reasons why I can give up on my people neither disappoint them to serve in 2023 at the House of Representatives come 2023.

“I have traveled this route before in the 7th Assembly between 2011 to 2015, it is a familiar terrain for me. I initiated many bill including Open University education for inmate across the country. As I am coming back to the office again I make bold to say that I will bring our tendencies together and unite my constituents and as well bring governance even closer to the people and to mentor the next generation.

“I will also extend my commitment to galvanizing my constituents irrespective of tribe, religious background or political persuasion.

“There is so much work to be done by way of legislation in many areas of our life including but not limited to education, health, power, infrastructure and alleviation of poverty, socio-economic empowerment. I have the requisite experience matched with wealth of knowledge to offer quality representation to my people.” The Nation
