OGUN: Olorunda Muslim worship centre named Isokan Central Mosque

With the new arrangement leading to creation of several Community Development Associations (CDAs) in Olorunda, a community in Ijoko, Ado-Odo Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State, the Muslim Community, in the spirit of unity and togetherness, has renamed its Jumu’at mosque formerly called Olorunda Central Mosque to now be officially known as Isokan Central Mosque, Olorunda.

This was contained in a message by Chief Imam of Isokan Central Mosque, Imam Miftaudeen Olayiwola Hamzat, sent to The DEFENDER.

According to the message, also co-signed by Chairman of the mosque, Alhaji Lawal Shefiu Olaiya, and Secretary, Mr. Olawale Kazeem Ogunyemi, effort will be made in short time to ensure proper registration of the mosque, located at 12 Alfa Tedo Street, Olorunda, to read its new name with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).

In the meantime, the Isokan Muslim Community has announced its turbaning programme in recognition of contributors of progress to both the faith community development and humanity within and outside the township.

Although date of the event was yet to be stated, it will, however, take place in December, the Chief Imam, Hamzat, told The DEFENDER in a separate telephone interview.
