No, our workers on not on strike – CMD

Chief Medical Director of  Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Prof. Chris Bode,  in Lagos, on Friday said that the hospital was open to patients as the hospital was not on strike.

Bode said this during the press briefing organised by LUTH management to address the workers’ protest on May 24.

He said that LUTH was being run efficiently to deliver healthcare services in spite of the protest, adding that over 3000 workers of the hospital were at their duty posts.

“Despite the unsuccessful attempts by a group of disgruntled elements to disrupt our operations, our staff stood resolutely against the forces of retrogression.

“Two days ago, about a dozen workers of this institution tried to infiltrate the clinical space with miscreants and cause mayhem within the hospital.
