NNPP sweeps all 44 Chairmanship, 484 Councillorship seats in Kano LG elections

The New Nigeria People Party (NNPP) has won all the Chairmanship and Councillorship seats in all the 44 Local Government Areas of Kano State.

The Chairman of Kano State Independent Electoral Commission (KANSIEC), Professor Sani Lawan Malumfashi, disclosed this while briefing journalists at the Commission’s headquarters in Kano Saturday night of October 26, 2024.

According to him, of all the six political parties that participated in the election, NNPP won all the 44 Local Government Chairmanship seats and 484 councilorship seats in the elections.

The parties are AA, AAC, Accord, ADC, APM, and NNPP while All Progressives Congress (APC) had pulled out ahead of polls.
