Buhari maintains lead as INEC declares more results in Kaduna

President Muhammadu Buhari, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), is maintaining his lead in last Saturday’s presidential polls in Kaduna State.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has so far declared results of 13 local government areas.

The Commission is awaiting the results of other 10 Local government areas.

Prof. Bello Shehu, the collation officer, declared President Buhari of the APC as winner in eight local government areas.

Shehu said that the Presidential Candidate of the PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar won in five local government areas.

NAN reports that the APC has won in Ikara, Makarfi, Kudan, Kubau Giwa, Sabon Gari, Soba, Kauru local government areas.

Shehu said the PDP won in Kaura, Zangon Kataf, Kagarko, Jaba and Kajuru local government areas.
Results of the Presidential poll from Zaria, Birnin Gwari, Sanga, Igabi , Kaduna North, Kaduna South, Chukun, Lere, Jema’a and Kachia are still being awaited.

Atiku beats Buhari to win Ondo State

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, cndidate, Atiku Abubakar, has won the presidential election in Ondo State. Ondo State, south-Western Nigeria, is governed by Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Nigeria’s ruling APC.

In the final results announced on Monday, Abubakar of the PDP scored 275,901 votes to defeat President Muhammadu Buhari of the APC who scored 241,769 votes.

Total accredited voters were 598,586, total votes cast: 586,827, while rejected votes were 30,833

The total number of polling units where voting was cancelled is 80. The reasons include over-voting, widespread violence, intimidation of electorate and staff, failure of card readers and outright disruption of the election.

Buhari wins 9 LGAs, Atiku gets 3 LGAs in Sokoto

President Muhammadu Buhari has won nine local government areas in Sokoto state while Atiku Abubakar got three in ongoing collation of results for Saturday Presidential election.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that results of 12 local governments were declared at the presidential election collation centre which went for a break at about 4.30 a.m. on Monday.

The results collated by Chief Returning Officer of the state, Prof. Yahuza Bello, indicated that Buhari is leading with high votes, ahead of Abubakar and the rest of the contenders.

Bello is the Vice-Chancellor, Bayero University, Kano.

He said Buhari polled 17, 684 against 14, 570 scored by Abubakar in Kware, 15, 465 against 10, 176 in Yabo and 41, 347 against 24, 598 in Sokoto South Local Government Area.

The APC Presidential candidate scored 23, 242 votes in Gwadabawa while PDP counterpart obtained 15, 656 and Buhari polled 16, 466 as Abubakar got 13, 659 in Kebbe Local Government Area.

In Illela Local Government Area, Buhari scored 25, 217 votes, Abubakar 16, 546; Sokoto North, Buhari obtained 32, 943 votes and Abubakar got 20, 884 votes while in Raba LGA, Buhari scored 15, 371votes against 10, 918 votes scored by Abubakar.

Buhari also scored 20, 307 votes in Wurno LGA while Abubakar scored 9, 847 votes out of 33, 048 votes cast in the presidential election.

Abubakar led in Tureta, Silame and Isa Local Government Areas where he scored 10, 209, 13, 949 and 17, 892 as Buhari got 8, 516, 10, 910 and 15, 264 votes obtained from the three councils.

Bello said that the collation of results would continue at 12 noon on Monday as the centre awaits more results from 11 local government areas out of 23 LGAs in the state.

Buhari floors Atiku in 14 of 17 LGs announced by INEC in Lagos

President Muhammadu Buhari has won election in 14 of the 17 Local Government Areas of Lagos State so far announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Three more Local Governments are yet to be announced.

So far, Buhari has garnered 470,785 in 17 LGs in Lagos, while Atiku Abubakar polled 337,272.

So far, Buhari is leading Atiku with 133,513 votes in Lagos.

Buhari leads in eight Kebbi LGAs

President Muhammad Buhari is leading in eight out of the 21 Local Government Areas of Kebbi in the presidential election results so far released by INEC Collation Officers.

In the results released by the Collation Officer for the Kebbi Presidential Election, Prof. Haruna Bichi, the Vice-Chancellor, Federal University, Dutsinma, Katsina state, APC scored 17,863 in Aliero Local Government against the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which polled 5,458.

Similarly, in Kalgo local government, APC scored 19,057 as against PDP which got 3,233 while in Ngaski Local government, APC scored 20,641 as against PDP which scored 6,591.

In Sakaba local government, APC polled 14,026 as against PDP with had 3,800 votes.

Also in Suru local government, APC polled 22,627 while PDP scored 10,358 votes.

Furthermore, in Shanga local government, APC got 19,262 while PDP which scored 6,961, and in Bagudo local government, APC scored 29,243 as against PDP with 8,160 votes.

In Arewa local government, APC polled 32,582 as against PDP which scored 8,390 votes.

The collation and announcement would continue today by 12 noon.

Buhari floors Atiku in Osun

The candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), President Muhammadu Buhari, has emerged the winner in Osun State.

Buhari beat his closest rival, Atiku Abubakar, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the presidential election held on Saturday in Osun State and officially announced by Toyin Ogundipe, a professor and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos.

Buhari polled 347,674 votes while Atiku got 337,377 votes, with the APC candidate leading with a margin of 10,297.

He won 18 of the 30 local governments in the state while Mr Abubakar won 12, Premium Times reports.

Buhari wins Nasarawa for the first time

President Muhammadu Buhari has won Nasarawa state for the first time since 2003 defeating Alhaji Atiku Abubakar by 37,896 votes.

Results collated by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Lafia shows that President Buhari polled 279,315 votes to defeat Atiku who polled 241,419 votes.

Buhari won in eight local governments while Atiku won in five local governments marking the first time the Peoples Democratic Party has lost Nasarawa state in a presidential election since then return to democracy in 1999.

The president got his highest number of votes in Lafia, the state capital, where he polled 55,254, while Atiku got his highest votes in Karu local government after polling 49,292.
