Director General of the Nigeria’s National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ahmed Rufa’i Abubakr, has submitted his letter of resignation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He was first appointed in 2018 by former President Muhammadu Buhari, who extended his stay in office in December 2021.

The DEFENDER has, however, sent a message to the DG NIA with a view to authenticating the information or otherwise but no response as at the time of filing this report Saturday evening.
