MUSWEN holds N10b endowment fund raising tomorrow

The Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria (MUSWEN), an umbrella Islamic body for Muslims in the nation’s South West region, will gather eminent citizens including well-to-do Muslims in Lagos, on Sunday, for a N10 billion endowment fund.

The event, which will hold at Oriental Hotels, Victoria Island, has all governors of the six South West states as hosts, with Sultan of Sokoto and President General Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, as chief host.

Chairman of Jaiz Bank Plc, Alhaji Umaru Abdul Mutallab, Chairman, Keystone Bank, Alhaji Umaru H. Modibbo, will be guests of honour, while Baba Adinni of Lagos, Sheikh Hafis Abou, will attend as spiritual father of the day at the occasion to also be attended by the Awujale of Ijebu Land, Oba Sikiru Adetona, and the Oba of Lagos, Alhaji Rilwan Babatunde Akiolu I, as royal fathers of the day, among others.

Former Chairman, GT Bank and Chairman for FATE Foundation, Alhaji Tajudeen Fola Adeola, will attend the fund raising in the capacity of special guest of honour, while Ansar-Ud-Deen Chief Missioner, Sheikh AbdulRahman Ahmad, will be guest speaker.

To be on ground to receive the prominent guests will be President of MUSWEN, who is also Deputy President General (South), Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Alhaji Rasaki Oladejo.
