Dr Dauda Lawal Dare has re-emerged as Gubernatorial Candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Zamfara State rerun primary election.
This was announced by the returning officer, Malam Hassan Eti, while declaring the results of the election at PDP state secretariat in Gusau.
He said Dauda scored 422 votes to emerge winner while Ibrahim Shehu and Hafiz Nahuce scored 1vote each.
He also thanked the delegates for exhibiting maturity and orderliness during the election and called on them to ensure the victory of PDP in the forthcoming election.
In his acceptance remarks, the winner, Dauda Lawal Dare, thanked party supporters and delegates for the confidence reposed on him and promised to work for the success of PDP in winning the election.
He further said that he is fully prepared to take the party to the promised land and win the election.
Dauda said his government would focus on key infrastructure for economic growth and development and place priority on the development of women and youth.
