Over 30,000 Ahmadis , other muslims, scholars, invited guests across the world and more importantly in the UK will gather at Tilford Surrey for the annual Ahmadiyya Islamic conference (Jalsa Salaam) for three days, beginning from Friday August 2nd to Sunday 5th, 2019.

The event, put together by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association in the United Kingdom, will feature Islamic lectures, special prayers and discussions on Islam and global peace.

The World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hazrat Masroor Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih V, will lead a Friday Jumaah prayer, address the global audience on contemporary Islam issues, the progress recorded by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Group in the areas of peaceful coexistence, propagation of Islam and humanitarian services.

Academic awards of excellence will be given to Ahmadi Muslims across the world and goodwill messages from world leaders will be received by the Ahmadiyya Community.

The high point of the Islamic gathering is the global initiation (Bia’t) into the Ahmadiyya muslim Community.

The Muslims Television Ahmadiyya, MTA International, based in London will broadcast proceedings live and re – transmit same across Africa on 19 channels in Nigeria, Benin Republic, Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone Republic of Togo, Mali, Burkina Faso,The Gambia, Burundi, Rwanda, Uganda and Zimbabwe, among others.

A statement sent to The DEFENDER by Spokesman of Ahmadiyya in Nigeria, Dr. Qasim Akinreti, said the broadcast signals are also available on satellite and social media platforms.
