Forum of Coalition of Political Parties of Oyo State has urged the Federal Government to stop interfering in the affairs of the Local Government administration in the state.

This appeal was made in Ibadan by the convener/leader of the forum, Prince Tunji Adeoye, during the forum’s leaders meeting, held on Thursday, February 30, 2020, where some issues of interest were considered.

Prince Adeoye said, “The forum appeals to the Federal Government to stop interfering in the local government administration in Oyo State so as not disrupt the peaceful atmosphere being enjoyed at the moment by the peolple in the state.”

In a press statement by Marufh Bello, Secretary/Media Officer of the forum, Prince Adeoye said that if the Federal Government took side in the matter of local government administration in Oyo State, it could lead to chaos.

He noted that the crisis might go out of control, and if the ensued crisis was allowed to linger on.

Adeoye stated this while reminding the Presidency of the 1950s Wild Wild West.

Prince Adeoye appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to please allow Governor Seyi Makinde to run his government with those he had appointed to be in charge of the third tier of government in Oyo State so as to have a peaceful administration, which would allow steady progress in the state.

The octogenarian leader of the forum, however, praised the governors of the South West on the establishment of Western Nigeria Security Network (WNSN), Amotekun, adding that the security outfit would help stem down the waves of crimes and security challenges in the region.
