Let PDP tell Nigerians what template they had 16 years for solving farmers/herders’ clashes – Festus Keyamo
Director of Information, Muhammadu Buhari Presidential Campaign Organisation, Mr. Festus Keyamo (SAN), has challenged the main opposition, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to give account to Nigerians what their template was in the 16 years they held sway in power to solve the farmers/herders’ clashes in the country.
Keyamo, who posted this on his twitter handle on Wednesday it had become imperative the PDP showed what effort they made during the time of their own administration so that the current APC administration, which succeeded their own, would look at it and then improve on it.
Checks revealed there was a Suswan’s committee set up for this purpose in 2014 and which made a report for which N100 billion was approved.
A respondent said the Buhari’s government, if it cares to know, should ask Suswan to give account of what it spent the N100 billion given to the committee on farmers/herders’ clashes for.
In his tweet, Keyamo said, “It would really be nice to know the template those who governed for 16 years put in place to resolve the issue of farmers-herders’ clashes since we all agree it has been around for long. The reason is that we can all look at it and improve on it since we are all patriots. Thank u.”
