Leave Magu alone, screen him to save Nigeria from corruption, Primate Ayodele tells Senate

*Pleads Court properly revisit Ngilary sentence

Founder and Spiritual Leader of INRI Spiritual and Evangelical Church, Oke-Afa, Isolo, Lagos, Primate Elijah Babatunde Ayodele, has described as disturbing the rejection of Mr. Ibrahim Magu by Senate as substantive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

He said Magu had done enough and greatly well, too, for the nation’s current effort to rid the society of corruption and make business difficult for corrupt people.

It would be recalled that Primate Ayodele had since early 2016 predicted that much as Ibrahim Magu would have done well as EFCC boss, that he would not be appreciated.

The Christian cleric of INRI said, “Senate should clear Magu for corruption in the system to be minimised.  Magu has got something to offer in the fight against corruption.  Senators should leave Magu alone,” he said.

The Ikere-Ekiti born cleric said further that Judges too had their own area of caution that that they should take care of.

“Judges should avoid sentiment in matter of corruption handling.”

On Bala Ngilari, Primate Babatunde Ayodele, who is known to be averse to people with questionable characters, observed that the former Adamawa State Governor’s sentence caught him with surprise despite that he would always support any effort against corrupt public official.

He said, “But the ruling against James Bala Ngilari is biased because it was based on lack of due process and not on any allegation that what he did was stealing.

“I want to appeal to the Judge to please revisit the case properly because the Bala Ngilari that I know is corrupt-free Christian leader.  Judging him for lack of due process alone, where many people who clearly stole have not been sentenced, is injustice,” the Primate said.

Primate Elijah Babatunde Ayodele would continue to be pained that Nigeria had to eventually witness its current economic and political situation despite his many warnings in the past.

It would be recalled that he said dollar would sell for N500 and that Isa Ayatou would not be returned as President of CAF.  He also said there would be fire outbreak at NAFDAC.  He also said much earlier that President Muhammadu Buhari should watch out over a health issue and all the rest of that, which have all happened.

Ayodele is heard most of the times ventilating his pains and worries that people, both in outside world and government, fail because they don’t heed divine warnings.
