KEMI NELSON: Sultan of Sokoto’s delegation visits family, pays condolence in Lagos

The Sultan of Sokoto and Sarikin Musulumi of Nigeria, His Eminence Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, has expressed his condolences to the family of late Chief Kemi Nelson, whose demise was announced on the 17th of July, 2022.
In a message delivered on his behalf by Sarikin Fulani of Lagos, His Highness Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar Bambado II, at the deceased’s family residence in Lagos on Thursday, Sultan Sa’ad Abubakar expressed his heart-felt condolences to the bereaved family and relatives of the late Mrs. Kemi Nelson, “who not only led an exemplary life but was also a rare gem of a personage well-respected across the country.”
He said, “At this period of monumental loss, I pray for the repose of the departed soul while I also beseech the Almighty grant her family the fortitude to bear the loss.
“She will always remain in our hearts and memories.
May her gentle soul rest in peace, Ameen.”
In an interview with The DEFENDER after the visit, the Sarikin Fulani said, “I am here to represent His Eminence Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, the Sultan of Sokoto, to pay express condolence over what happened to the family of late Chief Mrs Kemi Nelson. She was very close to the Sultan and the Sultan held her in very high esteem. That is why he sent me to come and represent him.”
