Kano State Govt committed to implementing components of emergency on education – Gov Yusuf

The Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has restated commitments to implement in full force the components of the declaration of state of emergency on education.

The Governor stated this Monday, when he paid an unscheduled inspection visit to Government Girls Secondary School Albasu, as contained via a Press Statement issued by Sanusi Bature DawakinTofa, the Spokesperson to Kano State Governor.

The Governor expressed dismay on de-boarding of fifteen girls secondary schools in the state by the immediate past administration, a situation that resulted in halting the academic pursuit of many talented girls.

He instructed the Ministry of Education to as a matter of urgency post English Language, Mathematics and Natural Sciences teachers to the school for pedagogical enhancement.

Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf added that government has re-boarded the 15 schools and rehabilitation work is going on for the schools to resume academic activities next session commencing few days to come.

He said the state will not relent in building, rehabilitation of more classrooms, furniture, teaching aides and all what it takes to create conducive atmosphere for teaching and learning in schools across the state.

The Governor also inspected Albasu 5 kilometer road work that is 98% completed. He expressed delight with the level of the work done calling on the contractor to speed up and complete the remaining work in no distant time.

Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf also directed Ministry of Health  to evaluate Albasu Primary Health Center for its upgrade to the Status of a Cottage Hospital and expand its services to teaming clients.
