Jaji begins distribution of 35 trucks of assorted grains to less privilege

*Urges Muslims to intensify prayers

The House of Reps member, representing Kaura-Namoda/Birnin-Magaji Federal Constituency of Zamfara State at the House of Representatives, Hon Aminu Sani Jaji, has commenced distribution of 35 trucks of assorted grains to less privileged as Ramadan package.

The DEFENDER reports that Jaji announced the items at a flag-off ceremony for their distribution in Gusau on Tuesday.

The Federal lawmaker called on Muslims to use the Ramadan period to pray for Allah’s intervention in ending security challenges in the state and the country, Nigeria.

According to him, the issue of insecurity affects everyone and, therefore, requires collective responsibility.

“We should support government at all levels to succeed in restoration of peace and stability in our communities.

“Ramadan is a month of blessing that Allah answer prayers, we should intensify prayers seeking Allah’s intervention in ending security”, he explained.

Jaji called on people of the state to desist from politicizing security sector of the state.

He called for unity among stakeholders in the state towards addressing the security challenges bedeviling the state.

In a remarks, Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) State elders committee, Alhaji Lawal Makaman-Kaura described the lawmaker’s intervention as a welcome development.

Makaman-Kaura said the gesture will provide succur to various categories of the needy.

Earlier, Chairman of the state distribution committee, Alhaji Abubakar Aliyu said the lawmaker donated 35 trucks of assorted grains, comprising Rice, Millet and Suger.

Aliyu said the beneficiaries comprised orphans, disabled persons, women and youths groups, APC executives across the 147 wards across the 14 Local Government Areas.

“Other beneficiaries include state and local government executives of the party.

“The party leadership at wards LGAs were given the responsibility of distributing these items across the state”, he explained.
