Iran claims missile strike on US aircraft carrier, warns of further action

Iranian Navy chief, Shahram Irani, was quoted as saying the movements of the carrier group are under constant surveillance.
Iran’s military has announced that it fired cruise missiles targeting the USS Abraham Lincoln, according to a statement broadcast on state television.
The statement said Iran deployed Qader shore-based anti-ship cruise missiles, claiming they forced the US carrier to alter its position. The vessel is part of a US strike group operating in the region.
