IPOB terrorists slaughter 19 herdsmen in Anambra, as TV station accused of promoting group’s terrorism in Nigeria
According to our source, “It is more saddening when a major television station in the South, ChannelsTV, is now seen to be promoting the IPOB terrorism and there is no clear punitive measure taken against it by the Federal Government led by a man, whose tribe’s people have been persistently victims of the attacks from all angles.”
Suspected members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB terrorist group, have slaughtered 19 Fulani herders in the Igbariam community of Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State.
According to a Daily Nigerian report, they invaded a storey building housing the Fulani herders in the community around 2a.m on Sunday.
The criminals killed 12 women, seven men and an undisclosed number of children.
The DEFENDER reports things that cannot be reported in prints were done to bodies of the victims before and after they were slaughtered.
But in the single incident alone, the criminals killed 25 cows, injured 19 and slaughtered five others.
“Two children are currently in the hospital. A nine-month-old child’s forehead was edged out by the criminals.
“The unfortunate thing is that all the victims belong to the same family,” said the source, according to the online newspaper, which said the spokesperson of Anambra State Police Command, Ikenga Tochikwu, did not respond to calls its correspondent put across to his telephone line up to the time of filing the report.
In the meantime, a source we directly have access to is asking, “Why must the innocent herder continue to be the target of these worthless terrorists…….?”
More questions begging for answers are being asked about the nature of terrorist activities in South East of Nigeria, especially when it is considered that all terrors in North East and South East have the same nature “neutralize one particular tribe anywhere they are”.
The DEFENDER reported Vanguard’s breaking news of Channels Television suspension by the National Broadcasting Commission Monday but also noted that the reportedly suspended station was still on air with KICC church program as at 6.47 pm same day up til the time of filing the report thereby justifying our source’s expression of “no clear punitive measure” by the Federal Government.
