In a heartfelt message, His Royal Majesty Oba Akinola Oyetade Akinrera Latiiri I, Olubosin of Ifetedo Kingdom, Osun State, has extended his warmest congratulations to Oba (Dr.) Edward Kolawole Adewole, Osalade II, the esteemed Osolo of Isolo Kingdom, along with the entire Isolo community, on the occasion of this year’s Owoyoko Festival, also known as the Ita-Osolo Festival.
His Royal Majesty commended the festival as a significant beautification of the region’s rich cultural heritage, emphasizing that it represents a seamless blend of tradition and modernity without compromising the essence of the culture.
The festival is scheduled to occur from Monday, September 1, to Tuesday, September 2, 2025, celebrating the cultural vibrancy of Akure South, an autonomous community in Ondo State.
The Olubosin of Ifetedo praised the Osolo of Isolo Kingdom for his remarkable leadership, expressing his faith in the positive influence of well-established traditional leadership on justice, peace, and community development.
This is particularly significant considering Oba Adewole’s esteemed background as a security expert and retired officer of the Department of State Service (DSS).
“I join the numerous friends and well-wishers in celebrating and congratulating you on this august occasion, Your Majesty. May you witness many more joyous celebrations in your lifetime,” stated Oba Akinrera.
This year’s festival not only serves as a celebration of culture but also strengthens the unity and progress of the Isolo Kingdom under the exemplary guidance of Oba Adewole.
