An Eastern European country, Czech Republic, allegedly provided the International Police, popularly called INTERPOL, intelligence about the itinerary and whereabouts of the fugitive leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, FirstNews Online can report.

The IPOB leader, it was learnt, had earlier visited Singapore from where he flew to the Czech Republic on Friday en route London.

But following a hint from Czech security agencies, the INTERPOL moved in and intercepted him in Prague on Saturday.

FirstNews gathered that it was from Prague that the IPOB leader was repatriated back to Nigeria on Sunday.

On Tuesday, in Abuja, Kanu appeared before Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court.

Justice Nyako then ordered that the IPOB leader should be remanded in the custody of the Department of State Services till July 26, when his treasonable felony trial will resume.

Earlier on Tuesday, Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, announced Kanu’s arrest at a press conference.
