Hanga flays Kwankwaso over Atiku-Ganduje new party allegation
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Kano State,Senator Rufai Hanga, has upbraided Senator Musa Rabiu Kwankwaso for allegedly accusing former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of plotting to form a new political party with others ahead of 2019.
Hanga, who spoke on Saturday on the allegations, said though “Atiku Abubakar and Governor Ganduje are in politics, they are not at war with anybody because as he (Kwankwaso) should know better there is indeed life beyond politics.”
The pioneer National Chairman of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) said Atiku never discussed with anyone and least of all Governor Ganduje the purported decision to leave the APC and form another party.
Hanga, who said that the former Vice President and Governor Ganduje remained “unwavering and loyal members of APC and would always work for its success”, advised Kwankwaso and his supporters to stop spreading what he called division, distrust, disaffection and disunity among members of the APC political family.
He also urged him stop dragging the name of former Vice President into dirty internal politics of lies, mischief, gossip and rumour mongering of Kano State, saying “Lies have short legs, they do not run very far.”
