Governor Tambuwal prays for late Kola Animasaun
Governor of Sokoto State, Rt. Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has joined the number of Nigerians home and abroad who show sympathy as Allah’s servant and veteran journalist, Alhaji Kola Animasaun, died in Lagos.
Tambuwal, who spoke from his seat of power in Sokoto Tuesday night, said, “I read about his death in The DEFENDER and I felt so sorry”.
He prayed that “Allah forgive him and repose his gentle soul in Aljannah Firdaus.”
Alhaji Animasaun, who retired from active media practice as Chairman of the Editorial Board of Vanguard Media Limited, at the age of 60 twenty years ago, died Ramadan 25, 1440AH equivalent to May 30, 2019.
He was buried same day at the New Muslim Cemetery, Markaz, Agege, Lagos.
The former Caretaker Chairman, Abeokuta Local Government and Baba Adinni of Egba Agura Abeokuta is survived by one wife, eight children, ground children and great grandson.
He would have been 80 July 5 this year.
