Governor Tambuwal appoints Buhari Dasuki new MD of Sokoto Investment Company

Governor of Kaduna State, Alhaji Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has appointed Malam Muhammadu Buhari Dasuki, a son to late Sultan Ibrahim Dasuki, as the new Managing Director of Sokoto Investment Company Ltd.

Dasuki succeeds Aliyu Bala Sokoto who passed away on July 29 this year.

Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Mallam Imam Imam, disclosed this in a statement he issued in Sokoto, on Tuesday.

The statement said the new appointee, who  holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Bayero University, Kano, has wealth of experience in investment and business portfolio.

“He started his working career at Intercellular Nigeria Ltd in 2004.  In 2006, he moved to the Corporate Affairs Commission headquarters in Abuja where he served until he picked up appointment as a Senior Special Assistant to Tambuwal when he served as the Speaker of the House of Representatives from 2011 to 2015, “it stated.

One of The DEFENDER’s respondents, who spoke on the new appointment by Tambuwal, has described it as another sign of the governor’s ability to lead people of diverse interests without being biased against another adding that “it is a fantastic way of telling the rest of us in other parts of the country that there is no bitterness among sons and daughters of Sokoto State.”

The particular respondent spoke on the hills of the fact that the Dasuki family has their head boy in the net currently but that once it is in the interest of the nation, “no bitterness,” he was delighted saying, as he thanked Governor Tambuwal for the respect, peace and cooperation that exist between him and the Sultanate, which he noted has continued to lift Sokoto State up economically and socially.
