Gov Yusuf relaxes curfew in Kano

Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has with immediate effect relaxed the curfew earlier imposed in the state in the wake of nationwide protest with an adjustment from 6pm to 6am pending further review.

The governor made this known at the commencement of weekly Executive Council meeting presided over by him at the Council Chamber, as stated in a statement released by his Spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.

He said relaxation of the curfew was in furtherance to a state security council meeting earlier held Monday, which recommended the relaxation of in view of the improvement of security, peace and stability in the state.

Governor Abba Yusuf enjoyed people of the state to go about their normal businesses as the state government would be unrelenting in providing security to lives and property of people across the state.

He seized the opportunity to commend security operatives for their efforts in ensuring peace and order during the protest period.
