Gov Yusuf mourns late Prof Jibril Isah Diso

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has expressed shock over the death of Professor Jibril Isah Diso, who passed away Friday following an unspecified illness.
Mallam Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Spokesman of the Kano Governor, who made this known in a statement dated 12th July, 2024 and copy of which was made available electronicall to The DEFENDER on today, Friday, described the demise of Professor Jibril Diso as a great loss, not only to his family members but aldo, to the entire Muslim Ummah.
Governor Abba Yusuf, in a mourning tone, described the deceased as a revered educationist who, despite his deformity, carved a niche for himself in the academia and rose to the exalted position of a Professor.
“We received with deepest shock this (Friday) morning the news of the death of Professor Jibril Isah Diso, a pioneer Professor with visual impairment in the country whose contributions in shaping the lives of many would remain indelible.
“Indeed, Kano state and the as a whole was robbed of a compendium of knowledge whose sudden passing away left a wide void difficult to fill,” mourned Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
He, on behalf of the government and people of Kano, condoled with Diso’s family, prayed to Almighty Allah the most exalted, to grant his soul eternal rest and Jannatul Firdausi be his final resting place.
