Gen Olanrewaju congratulates Osolo of Isolo Kingdom over Ita-Osolo Festival

Major General Tajudeen Olanrewaju (Rtd), former Minister of Communications and Acting Military Governor of Old Ondo State, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Oba (Dr.) Edward Kolawole Adewole, Osalade II, and the entire community of Isolo Kingdom on the occasion of this year’s modernized Owoyoko, known as the Ita-Osolo Festival.

Describing the festival as a commendable beautification of preserved cultural heritage, General Olanrewaju noted that the event represents a seamless integration of tradition and modernity without any distortions.
Scheduled to take place from today Monday, September 1, to Tuesday, September 2, 2025, this festive celebration highlights the cultural richness of the Akure South, Ondo State autonomous community.
General Olanrewaju commended the Osolo of Isolo Kingdom for his exemplary leadership and expressed confidence in the positive impact of a well-grounded traditional leadership on justice, peace, and development, particularly in light of Oba Adewole’s background as a security expert and retired officer of the Department of State Service (DSS).
“I join the numerous friends and well-wishers in celebrating and congratulating you on this august occasion, Your Majesty. May you witness many more of such celebrations in your lifetime,” General Olanrewaju stated in his well-wishing remarks.
