FG re-arraigns Justice Ademola, wife, other
The Federal Government, on Wednesday, re-arraigned suspended justice of the Federal High Court, Justice Adeniyi Ademola and his wife, Olabowale on amended charges.
Also arraigned along with the couple before a Federal Capital Territory High Court was a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Mr. Joe Odey Agi, who was accused of bribing Justice Ademola to the tune of N38m through his wife Olabowale and son Ademide Ademola.
The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charge when read to them.
Justice Jude Okeke ruled that the Justice Ademola and wife should continue to enjoy the bail conditions earlier granted to them while he grated Agi bail “in self-recognizance with the sum of N50m and the defendant is to deposit his international passport and other travel documents to the registry of the court within 7 days.” Trial commences on Monday 16th.
