By OUR REPORTER
Candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the just concluded Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) election, Dr Moses Paul a.k.a. Dr. Mo, has said that he has visited the family of Musa Abubakar who died during the election in Gwagwa.
According to Dr Mo, Musa Abubakar, the party agent for ADC at the Gwagwa polling unit lost his life while trying to protect the votes.
“There were also instances where people changed the results from polling units, and this sad situation sadly led to the death of Musa Abubakar at the Gwagwa polling unit as he was trying to defend his vote,” he said in a press conference following the election.
“I am asking the proper officials to look into this issue carefully and make sure fairness is achieved. These actions harm the fairness of the voting process and make people lose trust in our democracy,” he added.
An online media platform (not The DEFENDER) had reported that the All Progressives Congress (APC) emerged victorious in five of the six area council chairmanship positions in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
