Former Member, Board of SURE-P in Gombe State, Mr. Ibrahim Garba Wala, has described the ongoing President Muhammadu Buhari’s Social Intervention Program (SIP) as truly effective and greatly impactful among the targeted communities of people.
IG Wala, who is an anti-corruption activist and National Convener of the Citizens Action to Tack Nigeria (CATBAN), made this assessment on his Facebook post titled, “SIP IS SURE BUT SURE P IS NO SURE!”.
Wala, who said little challenges could be addressed, said he embarked on visits to various villages of the said targeted areas during which he had interactions with beneficiaries of the program and whose responses showed that the SIP is actually keeping those communities alive.
“Honestly speaking, this administration has done wonderfully well in terms of the Social Intervention Program, SIP.
“I went to villages & interacted with beneficiaries of old and young ages. The program is one that is keeping most communities socially alive.
“In my position as a former Board Member of SURE P in Gombe State, I can tell the difference between SIP and SURE P.
“The previous administration only made so much noise on their own social intervention without implementation. But for SIP, every component of the intervention is ongoing and level of transparency is commendable. THE LITTLE CHALLENGES CAN BE ADDRESSED,” he said.
