Emir of Ilorin celebrates Etsu Nupe on 19 years on throne

The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman, Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Mai-Martaba Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has rejoiced with the Etsu Nupe and Chairman, Niger State Traditional Rulers Council, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, on the occasion of his 19 years coronation anniversary.

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari also congratulated the monarch as he clocked 70 years on earth, according to a goodwill message issued by his Spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, and copy of which was sent to The DEFENDER on Sunday.

The Emir prayed for absolute comfort, sound health and divine grace in the life of Etsu Yahaya Abubakar, describing him as a philantropist par excellent and a detribalised Nigerian who is committed to the wellbeing of his subjects and beyond.

He also confirmed the excellent roles that the monarch is playing as the National Coordinator of the National Traditional Rulers’ Council (NTRC), thereby fostering unity and harmony among all the Royal Fathers in the nation.

According to the statement: “On behalf of the entire members of the Kwara State Council of Chiefs, His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR heartily sent his best wishes to His Royal Highness, Etsu Yahaya Abubakar CFR, on these great occasions of double celebrations of 70th birthday and 19th coronation anniversary.

“Etsu Yahaya Abubakar has been committed to the wellbeing of his subjects, progress of Bida Emirate and Niger State in general as well as peace and unity of Nigeria. May Almighty Allah grant him more fruitful years on the throne as the 13th Etsu Nupe and Chairman Niger State Traditional Rulers Council.

“I urge natives Bida Emirate, government and good people of Niger State to continue to support and pray for the monarch in order to achieve more for the community and nation at large.”
